Pandemic: Facing AIDS is an HBO documentary series and educational project, which presents in-depth, personal stories of people around the world living with HIV/AIDS. It aims to create greater awareness of the pandemic and empower people to take action.

State of Denial is a documentary film and website which take an unprecedented and unflinching look at how the citizens of South Africa are living with the AIDS epidemic. It offers a moving account of a society struggling to overcome the harsh realities of illness, global healthcare inequities, and government paralysis.

AIDS and Human Rights

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC) responds to human rights violations in partnership with constituencies throughout the world. IGLHRC helps document abuses, advocates for social change, and educates their constituencies about human rights, sexual orientation/gender identity and HIV/AIDS.

Physicians for Human Rights promotes health by protecting and advocating for human rights and a comprehensive AIDS strategy.

U.S. - BASED AIDS ORGANIZATIONS

AFL-CIO Solidarity Center provides a wide range of education, training, research, legal support, organizing assistance, and other resources to help build strong and effective trade unions and more just and equitable societies. The Center's education programs feature training in basic human and worker rights, union skills, advocacy, occupational safety and health, economic literacy, and civic and voter education.

The American Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) is the nation's leading nonprofit organization dedicated to the support of AIDS research, AIDS prevention, treatment education and the advocacy of sound AIDS-related public policy.

Black AIDS Institute (BAI) conducts a broad variety of programs designed to reduce the number of new HIV infections in African-American communities, increase access to treatment resources and improve the quality of life for African-Americans living with HIV/AIDS.
