Global AIDS Pandemic
United Nations Joint Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) offers comprehensive information on the
HIV/AIDS epidemic globally as well as links to activist organizations and networks,
news articles, education and training, and care and treatment research.
Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria is an independent, public-private
partnership working to dramatically increase funding to fight AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria and rapidly direct
these funds to effective prevention and treatment programs, in the countries with the greatest need.
AIDS Advocacy
AIDS Coalition To Unleash Power (ACT UP) organizes protests, lobbying and other direct actions
to end the AIDS crisis.
Advocates for Youth creates programs and advocates for policies that help
young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health.
Doctors Without Borders delivers emergency aid to victims of armed
conflict, epidemics, and natural and man-made disasters, and to others who lack health care due
to social or geographical isolation.
Health Global Access Project (Health GAP) is dedicated to eliminating barriers to
global access to affordable life-sustaining medicines for PLWHA as a key to a comprehensive strategy to confront
and ultimately stop the AIDS pandemic.
International AIDS Trust (IAT) was established to create strategic opportunities
for galvanizing leadership, mobilizing resources, and promoting effective interventions in the global
battle against AIDS.
Student Global AIDS Campaign (SGAC) educates, trains, and mobilizes U.S.
students in partnership with students around the world to fight HIV/AIDS.
