Carlos and Deborah Santana are deeply committed to the fight against AIDS, and have very generously donated the entire net proceeds of the 2003 U.S. Summer Santana Shaman tour to ANSA's Amandla* AIDS Fund. These funds will go to South African organizations working on the frontlines to combat HIV/AIDS. An advisory board of South African HIV/AIDS experts and AIDS activists will work with ANSA to help ensure that funds are granted where they are most needed and will have significant impact.

Carlos and Deborah also used the 2003 U.S. Summer Santana Shaman tour to help educate people about the Global AIDS pandemic and Artists for a New South Africa. At each stop on the tour, there were information tables, and in some cities, ANSA artists joined the stage to speak about AIDS.
