ANSA strategically mobilizes the participation of well-known actors and performing artists to raise public awareness, mobilize increased action and advocate for just government and corporate HIV/AIDS policies and programs. ANSA works in partnership with a wide range of organizations on advocacy efforts on the Global AIDS pandemic and AIDS in South Africa.

ANSA is committed to universal access to healthcare and treatment for all people living with HIV/AIDS and believes the most effective way to fund the fight for HIV/AIDS internationally is through the United Nations-sponsored Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB, and Malaria. In partnership with AIDS activists around the globe, ANSA advocates for the U.S. government to contribute its fair share to the Global Fund.

In the U.S., ANSA works in collaboration with diverse partners, including the Black AIDS Institute, Health GAP, the AFL-CIO, ACT-UP, Results and a number of other effective organizations.

In South Africa, ANSA works with the Treatment Action Campaign, AIDS Law Project and numerous other partners to urge the South African government to implement a comprehensive, national prevention, care and treatment plan.
